5k Beer Run x Flapjack Brewery | Part of the 2024 Illinois Brewery Running Series™

Join us for a fun-filled day of running, beer, and good vibes at Flapjack Brewery.

Lace up your running shoes - we've mapped out a 5k-ish course that starts and ends at this awesome taproom in Berwyn. We'll start all together at 10:00 AM. Run, walk or jog before celebrating with a locally-made craft beverage at the finish line.

Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun way to stay active, this event is fun for all. The 5k course will take you through scenic routes, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful surroundings while getting your heart pumping.

After crossing the finish line, reward yourself with a well-deserved pint of craft beer from Flapjack Brewery. Nothing beats the feeling of accomplishment and the taste of a refreshing brew!

So gather your friends and come join us at Flapjack on September 22. It's going to be a day filled with beer run fun. See you there!

Our mission is to be active, have fun and give back. A portion of all proceeds from our events supports local nonprofits - over $500k raised to date! This event will add to that tally by donating 10% to local organizations like: Chicago Run and Chicago Parks Foundation. So not only do you get to enjoy some healthy activity and great, local beer - you are helping us support local organizations that do important work in our community.

Lil Dave Merriman embarked on his musical journey in 1996 in Blue Island, IL with the punk band The Arrivals. Since then he has contributed to many other influential music projects such as The Mons, Treasure Fleet, Dangerous Chairs, and his solo project. Dave is renowned for his guitar and vocal skills in The Arrivals and has displayed his musicianship by playing multiple instruments in Treasure Fleet's first three albums, bass and vocals for The Mons, lead vocals for Dangerous Chairs, and playing every instrument on his solo album.

Over the years, Dave has continued to record and play music with various bands in the Chicago area, solidifying his name as one of the most influential and unique musicians to emerge from the Chicago punk scene.

Important details:

• This is an untimed, fun-run. All levels of walkers, runners and joggers are welcome.

• This is an open course, meaning roads will NOT be closed. You are responsible for obeying all traffic laws and regulations.

• We create each route to start and end at the brewery and to show off the surrounding neighborhood. The course will be marked with arrows to help you know where to go.

• You must bring a valid ID or driver's license. You do not need to be 21 to enjoy the event, but you must be 21 to enjoy the beer. Please drink responsibly. (Registered, underage participants will receive a token for a FREE non-alcoholic beverage)

• Our events are rain or shine! If conditions become unsafe to run, we will still hang out and drink beer!

• There will not be a bag check; please plan accordingly and dress appropriately for the weather.

• There is public parking available. Is public transit an option for you? Check and see if there’s an accessible route nearby. We always encourage carpooling and safe, designated drivers.

• Safety is #1! We will be respecting all COVID-19 safety guidelines as outlined by the CDC and our local department of health, including but not limited to:

• Masks required at the taproom at all times, unless otherwise noted.

• Participants to respect social distancing and allow 6' between themselves and anyone else on the course / trail

• Reduced contact for check in and event goodies at the finish line

Come and join us for Always Sunny In Philadelphia Trivia Hosted by Brian!!

Free to join, Prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams.

Come one, come all for an evening full of beers, laughter, and creating. Once a month, we will be opening up our doors for a special evening of drinking and drawing, hosted by Jason MIchael West.

Each month, there will be a theme that you can base your drawing off of or you can draw whatever you want, there are no rules. If you decide to go with the theme for your drawing and want a little bit of instruction, Jason will be there to help. We will also be providing a print out of the finished drawing for each person to look at.

This is a free all ages event but we do ask for a two drink minimum for all 21+ attendees and there will be NA beverages available as well. Our kitchen will be closed but we will have snacks for the kiddos and you may BYOF if needed.

Drawing materials (paper, pencils, pens)will be provided but you may bring your own if you would like but please no paint.

There will be limited spaces available for sign up.

Berwyn Brew Fest
