Lil Dave Merriman embarked on his musical journey in 1996 in Blue Island, IL with the punk band The Arrivals. Since then he has contributed to many other influential music projects such as The Mons, Treasure Fleet, Dangerous Chairs, and his solo project. Dave is renowned for his guitar and vocal skills in The Arrivals and has displayed his musicianship by playing multiple instruments in Treasure Fleet's first three albums, bass and vocals for The Mons, lead vocals for Dangerous Chairs, and playing every instrument on his solo album.

Over the years, Dave has continued to record and play music with various bands in the Chicago area, solidifying his name as one of the most influential and unique musicians to emerge from the Chicago punk scene.

Come join us at Flapjack Brewery on Sunday September 24, 2023 for a 5kish course that starts and ends at this awesome Berwyn taproom. Weave through the surrounding area at whatever pace you like, no matter what there’s a beer waiting for you at the finish line!

What’s included?! All participants receive:

• Your chance to win sweet door prizes, like Brewery Running Series merchandise or a growler to take home

Since our inaugural event (the Brewery Running Series was founded in Minnesota in 2012), we have been able to donate over $200,000 back to local nonprofits. This event will add to that tally! • This is an untimed, fun-run. All levels of walkers, runners and joggers are welcome.

• This is an open course, meaning roads will NOT be closed. You are responsible for obeying all traffic laws and regulations.

• We create each route to start and end at the brewery and to show off the surrounding neighborhood. The course will be marked with arrows to help you know where to go.

• You must bring a valid ID or driver's license. You do not need to be 21 to enjoy the event, but you must be 21 to enjoy the beer. Please drink responsibly. (Registered, underage participants will receive a token for a FREE non-alcoholic beverage)

• Our events are rain or shine! If conditions become unsafe to run, we will still hang out and drink beer!

• There will not be a bag check; please plan accordingly and dress appropriately for the weather.

• There is public parking available. Is public transit an option for you? Check and see if there’s an accessible route nearby. We always encourage carpooling and safe, designated drivers.

• Safety is #1! We will be respecting all COVID-19 safety guidelines as outlined by the CDC and our local department of health, including but not limited to:

• Masks required at the taproom at all times, unless otherwise noted.

• Participants to respect social distancing and allow 6' between themselves and anyone else on the course / trail

Come and join us for Always Sunny In Philadelphia Trivia Hosted by Brian!!

Free to join, Prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams.

Come one, come all for an evening full of beers, laughter, and creating. Once a month, we will be opening up our doors for a special evening of drinking and drawing, hosted by Jason MIchael West.

Each month, there will be a theme that you can base your drawing off of or you can draw whatever you want, there are no rules. If you decide to go with the theme for your drawing and want a little bit of instruction, Jason will be there to help. We will also be providing a print out of the finished drawing for each person to look at.

This is a free all ages event but we do ask for a two drink minimum for all 21+ attendees and there will be NA beverages available as well. Our kitchen will be closed but we will have snacks for the kiddos and you may BYOF if needed.

Drawing materials (paper, pencils, pens)will be provided but you may bring your own if you would like but please no paint.

There will be limited spaces available for sign up.

The Rotary Club of Oak Park and River Forest will be hosting food trucks from Tamale Spaceship, Billy Bricks Wood Fired Pizza, Bob Cha Korean Fusion, Carnivore, Aztec Daves Full Mexican Taco creations ,My Funnel Truck Funnel Cakes and Ice Cream Creations , Cheesie's, Ms. Tittle's Cupcakes, MaMa's Kitchen, Gelato Decadent Flavors Mini Donuts, Elephant Ears, Fried Oreos , and CheSa Gluten Tootin' Free. 

The beer tent will be stocked full of craft brews from Kinslahger Brewing Company, Wild Onion Tied House, Oak Park Brewing Company, Exit Strategy Brewing Company, and Flapjack Brewery. All of these breweries are based locally in the western suburbs of Chicago. Wine from local favorite Cooper's Hawk Winery will also be served.

Musical performances from The School of Rock, Darthford Station and Sons of Chicago will take place throughout the event. 

For the kids, there will be inflatables like a 77-foot Extreme Obstacle Course, The Wrecking Ball, and a bounce house!
